|58-1149 F-105D-5-RE Thunderchief
The fourth 'D' produced. Assigned to Republic at Eglin AFB, FL for various weapons testing. Crashed June 15,
1965 on the Eglin AFB Test Range killing Republic test pilot Carlton Ardery. Specific details are unknown.
Since it was used for various weapons testing I put the AGM-12C Bullpup missiles on it. I know they weren't very
effective in S.E.A. but they look cool.

The 1/72 scale Trumpeter kit has the same things wrong with it as their 1/32 scale kit. Making a desktop early 'D',
I remove the cooling scoops and antenna. Left out the cockpit and corrected the ventral fin with a Quick Boost
Finished with Bare Metal Foil. Some of the markings were produced by me using Corel Draw X5 and printed
with my Alps printer. The stand is a copy of an original factory stand.
