63-8353 F-105F-1-RE WILD WEASEL
A former Crew Chief of 63-8353 from May 1967 - May 1968, Sgt. Jeff Puras,  commissioned me to do
this for him. His responsibility was launch, recovery, maintenance and overall well being of this aircraft.

63-8353 was lost on 15 July 1968 flying with the 44 TFS, 388 TFW, Korat. A raid on a suspected SAM
site, Maj. G. James and Cpt. L. Martin were hit by 37mm AAA while pulling up from their first attack.
Maj. James ejected but was captured. He was unsure if Cpt. Martin's seat left the aircraft before it
crashed. Maj. James was eventually release on 14 March 1973. On 8 November 1989 the remains of
Cpt. Martin were returned by the Vietnamese.

Eduard Cockpit Set and Seamless Sucker Ejection Seats were used. Model finished with Model Master
enamels.

I was not happy with the way the Speed Brake Petals looked so I did them over.
