My daughter owns a 2006 Mustang LX and I wanted to build her a replica of it. The only kit available is
Revell's GT version which is a bit different than the LX. Since it's the only show in town, I had to use it. The
stripe over the top is painted on. The rocker stripe, FL license plate and the YMR Registry number were
drawn with Corel and printed with an Alps. Yellow interior inserts were airbrushed.
Overall, the kit was nice. The molding was excellent and the pieces fit together well. Decal sheet supplied
silver and black Shelby style stripes, license plates and engine and interior compartment placards. However,
the way they did the tail lights sucks. They molded them in clear plastic instead of the red they used to do.
Painting the backsides red doesn't give the crystal effect the red molded ones did. Would have been nice if
the hood stayed in the open position too.
